of a Memorex arm band holder for the ZuneWell to protect the Zune MP3 Player that you'll probably never buy anyway, Memorex have brought onto the US market a Leather Show Case, Sport Band and Silicone Sleeve.

The press release states: An expansion to the Memorex product portfolio, these cases provide added protection for the Zune player, as well as access to all ports, in three distinct designs: the Memorex Silicone Sleeve, Sport Band and Leather Show Case.

Carla Pihowich, director of marketing for Imation’s Consumer Division stated:
“For anyone who already enjoys their Zune or is considering buying one, consumers can trust Memorex’s new line of protective cases to keep the Zune looking like new,” said Carla Pihowich, director of marketing for Imation’s Consumer Division.

The Memorex Leather Show Case integrates hands-free viewing and complete protection into one unique case. Using the Show Case, the Zune can stand on its own horizontally and vertically for convenient viewing of videos, movies and programs. The top-loading case is made of premium leather, while a soft, suede inner lining and clear screen protector safeguard the player no matter where you go. The Memorex Leather Show Case has a suggested retail price of $29.99.

Ideal for active lifestyles, the Memorex Sport Band makes it easy to use the Zune player while on the move. The form-fitting Sport Band case safely secures the player in place for hands-free activity. It features an embedded screen protector to shield the Zune from the elements and reflectors for safety at night. The work out-ready armband is also easily adjustable and provides access to all ports - Memorex.

Well, good luck to them. But having just got my hands on a nice iPod video, I don't think I'll be converting any time soon!

Gates: "Buy a CD and just rip it!"

There's been so much discussion on our other site for Zune MP3 Players about DRM and how Microsoft may have messed up big time on it. Now ZDNet is commenting that Bill Gates has suggested that people should just buy CD's in the traditional way and copy it to their MP3 Player.

Now for some that may seem a bit backward. But for me, it's great, I do that already. I just love owning the physical CD, letting the collection grow and swamp my living room. But I can appreciate how for others it is far from desirable.

So what are other people doing?
