iPod 5th Best MP3 Player! Sony The Best!

The fantastic Reevoo have produced a list of the top five mp3players by customer satisfaction.

It was a shock considering every man and his dog would mention "iPod" when asked to name an mp3 player. But the truth is that iPods aren't the best mp3 players, they're just the coolest. But everything that becomes too-popular will eventually falter.

Hats off to Sony, they've created the two best mp3 players!

1st - 9.8/10 - Sony NWE016BC - it had top marks for value for money and sound quality. It even beat the new ipod ;-) From Currys.

2nd - 9.7/10 - Sony 3gb NWZA816 - it's nice seeing Sony take the top two awards. Buy from Electric Shopping - £94.07.

3rd - 9.4/10 - Hitachi DMP20 2GB Black - this is more for people that like an easy to use mp3 player or one with a long battery life. Buy from Dixons - £29.99.

4th - 9.2/10 - Samsung YP-P2JCB 8GB Black - people overall liked it's design and features, but they weren't too impressd with its value for money. Buy from Dixons - £124.05.

5th - 9.2/10 - The new green Apple iPod Nano 8gb didn't score as highly as many would have thought. People didn't like that they thought it could only use iTunes on it. It came 5th because 100% of people would recommend the Samsung, but only 96% of reviewers would recommend the iPod! Buy from: Dixons - £111.68, Advanced MP3 Players - £119, Woolworths - £129.

Sony A820 MP3 Player

It appears that the Sony A820 MP3 Walkman MP3 Player will be released this April.

It'll come in 4,8,16gb capacities and will support Bluetooth.

I'm getting really fed up of all these crap mp3 players coming out of China. Of course they make some absolutely fantastic MP3 Players - but why bother making a 128mb PMP?

Well Winstar have with this thing that's supposed to look like a key-chain. It has got an ebook reader, integrated FM radio and a dictionary to translate English to Chinese - wooo!

I love it how some people just have too much time on their hands that they're determined to get us to listen to music wherever we are. Like really, under the sea! There's been a few of them that have been designed to catch us on our most solitary moments such as the Water resistant MP3 Player and the waterproof iPod case. Byt why do we need to listen to music when we're scuba-diving? Isn't this a perfect opportunity to get away from the world??

It'll probably cost around £75 here but it only holds 128mb of music and uses AA batteries - how many do they think they'll sell?

Well you can get the mpion MP3 Player that has a whopping 128mb of storage (that was a joke), but really, the sacrifice for better-looking skin is only being able to listen to a couple hours of music.

I suppose you're not going to do your skin regime on the way to work on the tube so a couple of hours maybe ok - but who buys 128mb

Play.com Launch PlayDigital Music Download Store

They're all at it. After Amazon announced that they'll be launching a UK-based music download store, now Play.com are going to launch PlayDigital - a DRM-free digital music download store.

Top selling 100 single tracks will cost just 65p (14p cheaper than iTUnes) and other ones 70p (9p cheaper). Albums will cost £6.99 for the top 100 sellers list, whilst other albums, it appears, will be priced according to demand.

This is part of a shift away from DRM-music according to Managing director of 7digital, Ben Drury whos said that non-drm was out-selling DRM music at a ratio of four to one!

I received this Mp3 player for Christmas and I am well pleased, the features are quite superb,just plug into Windows Media Player and Sync your play lists, even for a duffer like me quite easy. I used the Samsung disk to down load pictures, again very easy but does tend to down load every picture still these are easily removed if required. When this was reviewed by the experts it was down graded on account of its lack of media files. This may well be true but as all I wanted was an MP3 player that was easy to use and didn't require a science degree the Samsung certainly fits the bill.

I recommend this product without hesitation a super piece of Kit.
For the money this is a no frills player with a great radio, fantastic 3 inch screen and fabulous music rendition.

Toshiba has gone and upgraded the Gigabeat T401 and called it the T802 which is a slimline Personal Media Player which will now have wireless network connectivity, 8GB of flash memory, a decent 16 hours of MP3 playback or five hours worth of video viewing and has WMV support.

The price in the US will around $280 and will be available in Japan from 15th Feb so expect it here a few months later and for around £199ish.

It's not due to be released until 22nd Feb but there are some details avaliable:

The 1gb MP3 Players are definitely more prevelant than the 20gb versions and there's a reason why - they're so damn cheap. I see that people either want a small one to go jogging or take to the beach or want an expensive, high capacity mp3 player that they'll use as a huge storage device.

Creative Zen MP3 Players

The Creative Zen MP3 Player used to be known as the Creative NOMAD Jukebox Zen - a bit of a mouthful if you ask me!

From 2004 to 2007 they won the best of CES (the Consumer Electronics Show) award in their categories and once won the overall award.

At the moment there are a number of ZEN MP3 Players, such as the ZEN Stone which is a basic ZEN MP3 Player and you can pick up the 2gb models for around £30 from AdvancedMP3Players or the 1gb for just over £20 from Amazon.

The ZEN stone is similar to the iPod Shuffle in features. But ther's also the ZEN Stone Plus which you can get from ToysRUs for around £50 which has a display, FM Radio, microphone and a clock/stopwatch.

There's also a range of Creative ZEN MP3 Players in the 2gb, 4gb and 8gb models

If you wanted something a bit cheaper then try the Creative L Muvo V100 1gb which you can pick up from PC World for just £16 ish.

And for something a bit more substantial there's the ZEN 16GB from Pixmania, but expect to pay around £155 for them.

Everyone is getting on in the act as well as you'll find most supermarkets and department stores selling MP3 players too. For example John Lewis sell the Creative ZEN Stone Plus for £39.95 online.
