WiFi iPod Out Soon?

The current rumour flying around the internet (a day doesn't go by when there isn't a new one) is that iPod will start shipping WiFi iPods by the end of the year.

I'm suprised it's taken them so long when you consider that the Zune has that capability.

It'll certainly be interesting to see how they secure it given that Microsoft tried to make the Zune a "social" tool. With Apple well in with the music sharing generation, will they be wanting to allow users to cross share music, or is this going to be why they've signed up EMI for DRM-free music?
