The Sony S2 Walkman takes on the new Nike & iPod jogging kit, and is a good alternative. It's water resistant, counts the amount of calories burned, how far you've gone and quite cleverly adjusts the songs if it senses that your tempo has changed. Another feature we like is that if you want to shuffle the music, just shake it fast three times!

This model has a 2GB capacity and holds about 1350 songs and should be around £90 when released in the UK.
