Another iPod Killer? The SanDisk e280

What most people don't realise is that the flash memory manufacturer SanDisk is a distant 2nd in the MP3 Player race and that they're determined to close the large gap between themselves and Apple.

The news is that SanDisk are planning to launch an MP3 Player that has double the storage and about the same price as the top selling iPod Nano.

The SanDisk e280 will have a 8gb capacity and will sell for around £140.

But what many MP3 Player execs don't realise is that capacity is only one issue. When you get over say 4/5gb its more about features and ease of getting music on the device.

We see a bigger threat coming from the mp3 phones.
